What is an HSK Shrink Fit Tool Holder?
An HSK shrink fit tool holder combines the HSK (Hollow Shank Taper) interface with thermal shrink clamping technology. The HSK interface provides superior rigidity and repeatability compared to traditional BT tapers, making it ideal for high-speed machining centers.
How Shrink Fit Clamping Works
- Heat the holder - Use an induction heating unit to heat the holder bore
- Bore expands - The heated metal expands, enlarging the bore diameter
- Insert the tool - Slide the cutting tool into the expanded bore
- Cool and contract - As the holder cools, it shrinks around the tool with extreme force

How to Choose the Right Holder
- Shank Height (H): Choose based on your machine's tool holder/turret slot size
- Tool Height (H3): Must match the H dimension of your SPB Tool (26mm or 32mm)
Example: If you have SPB26-3 tool (H=26mm), select H3=26mm
